Requirements

Technical skills:

• Understanding of basic ETL (data extraction, transformation and loading) concepts and tools.
• Advanced level of MS Excel, in particular business intelligence applications: Power Query; M Language; DAX.
• Knowledge of SQL for working with databases and data processing.
• Ability to create professional looking graphs, charts and dashboards in Excel (MS Power BI optional).
• Ability to build and optimize data models and reports.
• Optional: the ability to write and edit VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) macros to automate routine tasks in Excel (+ Python, R).

Understanding financial principles:

• Knowledge of basic financial indicators and financial reports, such as operating and non-operating expenses, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, etc.
• Ability to build financial models and forecasts based on historical data and scenarios.
• Ability to configure, refine and maintain end-to-end financial analytics.

Business orientation:

• Understanding of the main business processes in the organization and their relationship.
• Data analysis presentation skills for business units.

Personal skills:

• Attention to detail (the ability to notice when something is not right in the data).
• Ability to effectively plan and organize work on projects and tasks.
• The ability to take responsibility and close turnkey tasks.
• Ability to work in a team.

Other skills and requirements:

• Experience in the position of Data Analyst / BI Analyst / BI Developer or compatible positions.
• Complete higher education, preferably in the areas of: information technology, finance or economics.
• Knowledge of the English language at the Pre Intermediate level or higher.

Duties

• Participation in projects for Ukrainian and foreign clients.
• Participate in the improvement of the management reporting system of the client’s enterprise, namely the development of reports for marketing, sales, their optimization and automation.
• Development and maintenance of analytical and financial data models for management decision-making.
• Assistance in the formation of budgets in terms of client companies and in the preparation of reports on their implementation (analysis of deviations from plan / fact).
• Researching existing information, cleaning and analyzing data, other calculations and data operations.
• Collection and analysis of technical and business requirements for reports, compilation of descriptive documentation.
• Consulting and assistance to users of automated reports.
• Creating a financial model for assessing the economic feasibility of various types of operational processes.
